Daniel Rachel’s This Ain’t Rock N Roll: Pop Music, The Swastika, The Third Reich released from Akashic Books intertwines Pop Music’s infatuation with Hitler, and The Swastika with the actual atrocities involved with murdering, and sexually assaulting during a genocide which killed 6, 000, 000 jewish people.

Daniel Rachel’s biography:

Birmingham-born Daniel Rachel is a former musician-turned-award-winning and bestselling author whose works include: Isle of Noises: Conversations with Great British Songwriters – a Guardian and NME Book of the Year-, Walls Come Tumbling Down: The Music & Politics of Rock Against Racism, 2 Tone and Red Wedge -winner of the Penderyn Music Book prize-, Don’t Look Back in Anger: the Rise & Fall of Cool Britannia-an Evening Standard and Metro Book of the Year-, The Lost Album of The Beatles: What if the Beatles hadn’t Split Up? Guardian Book of the Week= and Too Much Too Young: The 2 Tone Records Story: Rude Boys, Racism and the Soundtrack of a Generation (a Sunday TimesUncut, Rough Trade US and Resident Music Book of the Year-, now widely considered the definitive history of 2 Tone.

He has served as consultant and appeared as a talking-head on several cultural documentaries, including Madness: Prince of Ska, Kings of Pop -2025-, Pauline Black: A 2-Tone Story -2024- and Britpop: The Music that Changed Britain -2023-. He was guest curator of 2 Tone Lives & Legacies exhibition as part of Coventry Cultural City 2021, curated the anniversary edition of the Selecter’s debut album Too Much Pressure and written sleeve notes for Bryan Ferry, the Kinks, the Selecter, Ray Davies and Ocean Colour Scene.

Daniel’s latest book, This Ain’t Rock ‘n’ Roll: Pop Music, the Swastika and the Third Reich was serialized on the front cover of the Times Review. Receiving rave reviews and standing room only appearances. This Ain’t Rock ‘n’ Roll has been named a Rough Trade, Resident Music and Louder Than War book of the year and nominated for the Penderyn Music Book prize.

During the beginning of reading This Ain’t Rock N Roll, I contemplated if there is some network or secret society who rewards anyone famous that says: ‘Hitler was an exceptional entertainer. ‘

I debated if nazi’s affiliation power works because white supremacy’s strength in conformity or if a section of all intelligence agencies rewards people who like nazis.

The Hitler-CIA connection sorta infiltrated each other which did defeat nazis in Germany. Hip Hop in High School informed us CIA- Nazi’s fled to Brazil. I didn’t think about the idea of espionage. I said: “I don’t like Nazis.”

I haven’t ever found myself impressed with Adolf’s crowd rocking.. I look at some short dude yelling which involved into top awful things in Social Studies class. I don’t speak German. I assumed Hitler was yelling “kill the jews. white power.” I wasn’t impressed.

American’s Slavery of people of African descent…. America’s colonialism conquering Native Americans.. The Holocaust in Germany… We were all mortified and disgusted by heinous atrocities by nazis, and the American colonialism.

I don’t think this is white guilt. I dislike genocide and rape because I like people and women.

American colonialism preceded Adolf.

Daniel Rachel’s This Ain’t Rock N Roll: Pop Music, The Swastika, The Third Reich discusses rockstar’s Nazi fashion.

I don’t have any need for a swastiki. I suppose Maybach Music swazi use did seem brash and provocative.

Daniel Rachel’s This Ain’t Rock N Roll: Pop Music, The Swastika, The Third Reich focuses on Rock Stars buying actual nazi clothes.

I wondered who was introducing the WW2 nazi vintage clothes salesperson to every rock star.  I’m supposing giving rock stars the option of dressing like terrible people was probably a manager or personal assistant mistake.

Drugs seem like they were being sold by people who sold nazi clothes. Is there a section of all intelligence agencies that pairs drugs with Nazis?

Nazi soldiers took speed before invading England.

I don’t think every rock star in a uniform or wears Red And Black is nazi. I will counter-argue. We can’t forfeit the colors Red + Black or military chic. Black Panthers wore military uniforms.

I won’t mention who Daniel accuses of nazism.  For awhile, during This Ain’t Rock N Roll is appalled so many people were into arguing Hitler could rock a crowd, and were impressed they could own things owned by Nazi’s

In it’s entirety, this book reads like the Jewish Defense League, and PMRC created Ego Trip Book of Nazi Lists for the Alt-right.

IF your looking for music which Daniel Rachel doesn’t find nazi…  The Specials, and Serge Gainsbourg are your options which are complete void of swastiki’s, uniforms, and the colors Red + Black.

Serge Gainsbourg released Rock Around the Bunker which explicitly denounces nazis with songs called Nazi Rock.

Rock Around the Bunker sounds like the upcoming Black Keys dive-bar decadence blues album Peaches

Black Keys Peaches album does contain Red + Black from a Willam Eggleston Coca Cola photo. Mike Carney designed the Black Keys cover. I know Mike. Mike isn’t anti-semitic and doesn’t own any swatikas. I know Carney is appalled at the hideous torture, and sexual violence committed against Jews.

Mike did give me Joy Divisions’ Unknown Pleasure which doesn’t equate to supporting the Third Reich,

Daniel Rachel’s This Ain’t Rock N Roll does declare black-metal band Waitain aren’t nazis.

I think the most important part of This Ain’t Rock N Roll is reminding everyone that the Holocaust is one of the worst atrocities humans experienced.

6 million people were killed. 6 million people were brutally tortured. Each individual felt a tremendous amount of pain while dieing.

Daniel is good a reminding us about the individuality of every holocaust victim.

I disagree with the book’s blanket accusations of nazism against the history of music.. I find many disingenuous and irresponsible. I do agree with a basic premise: People shouldn’t celebrate a genocide.

This book is effective at reminding everyone a flaw in trolling is dehumanization. Donald Trump is President again because alt-right Trolling.

There is a debate if Slayer glorifies or simply reminds everyone of the extent of Holocaust experience. I will remind: : Rick Rubin is Jewish…

Do you think Dead City Punk’s Meth Psychosis make Meth sound appealing? Slayer’s South of Heaven didn’t make me a nazi or Satan worshiper. I promise.

South of Heaven created Public Enemy listeners. Madonna’s Justify My Love sampled Public Enemy. I think Madonna knew Louis Farrakhan existed.

Never Again to anyone.

I think the majority of jews in our country are privately aware of exact details of mass killings for each holocaust victim..

Jews for Palestine exist for a reason. Young jewish people’s families are empirical evidence of the awareness off a mass of people were placed in warehouses, raped, tortured and experimented upon.

I watch Holocaust documentarys so I don’t become insensitive towards Jewish people while denouncing the current treatment of Palestinians. I can analyze fascism’s process and remain sympathetic to this those whose relationship with Isreal is probably personal.

We must understand the extent of the holocaust for several reasons:

I live in Columbus, Ohio.

ISREAL was an imperfect place of power for a people who are the target of demonization for political power. I won’t delve into the idea that America reason leaving England was seperation of Church + State.

Is it possible to separate celebrate Satan’s evil with an understanding the Holocaust wasn’t inflicted by a mystery demon?

We must make sure Jewish people don’t need to feel defensive.

With that caveet…

Democratic lawmakers like Maxine Waters aren’t allowed entrance into ICE Detention facilities where our tax dollars are involved with fascist human factory farming.  People are being shipped into prison camps overseas.

I don’t like ICE as a vegan.

We haven’t seen a final solution where people are being mass incinerated. This doesn’t mean white supremacists abducting human beings into captivity without rules isn’t gonna make an incredibly dark chapter in our country worse.

Trump is using Israel as justification for employing nazis for nazi camp wordwide..

Would you listen to songs called…

“Alligator Alcatraz is a Gas.”

“Netanyahu is a Dope Rapper.”

Hitler wasn’t a dope rapper. Hitler is known for killing 6 million jews.

This Ain’t Rock N Roll: Pop Music, The Swastika and The Third Reich by Daniel Rachel fails at appreciating Rock N Roll Against Racism’s success in shifting Aerican culture to the left. I suppose Daniel could sell you another book. Daniel is an expert about Rock Against Racism.

This Ain’t Rock N Roll: Pop Music, The Swastika and The Third Reich by Daniel Rachel succeeds in reminding NEVA AGAIN for any people…including jewish people.

I wouldn’t wear a T-shirt celebrating Kristi Noem or mocking Alex Pretti’s death in a decade or 20 years from now.  Would you wear a Donald Trump shirt?

Hitler’s violent warehousing of people for human rights abuses are why people are worried about AIPAC lobbying our country in ICE Camps, and the murder of muslims overseas.

Is Hitler, Donald Trump ICE Raids, and Netanyahu’s friendship White supremacist American colonizations’ long game?

Donald Trump and Netanyahu are from Hitler’s generation. intelligence culture and community.

Why do you think this book cover looks cool and/or interesting?

December 20, 2024 Review: Lupe Fiasco Columbus, Ohio Concert

Lupe Fiasco December 20, 2024

Lupe Fiasco’s Bustown’s show again reminded me of Hip Hop’s potential.

Lupe’s show started with Lupe rocking Number 1 Headband off Fiasco’s album 2024 album Samurai.

Number 1 Head Band starts with Lupe jazz humming into a chorus…“a little bit of bone bone bone”  which conjured Ella Fitzgerald’s influence on FreeStyleFellowshipThugzNHarmony in the MiddleofBarnintoA$ap Rocky etc in 10 seconds and arrives at a Charli XCX Brat’s reference.

Columbus Atheneum was filled with people and positive energy.

Columbus Athenaeum … packed.

I sat in the seats….arenas and smart tv have changed my preferred concert settings.

I sometimes find the front of the audience.

Other times I sit down and enjoy the show.

I find concerts cerebral participation.

The importance of Lupe’s vibrance December 20, 2024.

Kamala Harris reminded me of Hip Hop’s potential.

Then after that election…

I felt a tremendous disappointment in the amount of liars and bigots.

I felt like Holden Caulfield reading books about Cointelpro.

I like rap.

I like punk.

 I like women.

Lupe played Palaces off Samurai.

I knew the lyrics.

Everyone in the room knew the lyrics.

As of November 6, 2024,  I don’t like people except everyone at the Lupe concert.

We were sent into a time before Obama….

I’d became a teenage skateboarder……

I’m writing books about a new Cointelpro which I’ve determined is also a psyops..

After that election…

I’m sitting in my living room.

I’m a teenager.

I want naked ladies, food and rap.

Friday night, I’m sitting in Columbus Athenaeum which makes every concert feel special.

I’m watching a room full of Hip Hoppers who are excited about Lupe Fiasco in 2024.

Lupe’s audience is predominantly young black people.

I’m watching Lupe’s delivering Hip Hop’s promise.

A dope mc transcends any context.

We’re all being reminded..

Hip Hop defeated white supremacy several times without quite as much people power.

Lupe’s song Samurai off his latest album’s Samurai receives a similar response.

People know Lupe’s new album line for line.

Lupe was once on Kanye’s 2004 Touch the Sky.

Lupe isn’t riding a platinum feature in 2024.

Everyone in that room knew Lupe’s new music.

Lupe then raps, Kick Push.

I’d forgotten Lupe released a song about skateboarding.

Lupe’s manages a discussion about relationships in the midst of individualistic passions.

I’m wondering if Virgil played Jesus Lizard for Ye, and Lupe.

Lupe’s audience is much younger than Virgil’s late 80’s skating..

Virgil’s importance was taking 80’s skating iconography into 2016 Hip Hop fashion.…

Regardless if you like Glenn Friedman, or Atiba Jefferson’s images of teenage rebellious creativity…

Lupe describes something every skaters’ experiences.

Police kick skaters out of skate spots..

Romance..

Passion…

Lupe’s music, and raps were clear, crisp while the simple melody and drums reminded everyone of liking something.

I’m really angry about people participating in lies, white supremacy and misogyny renewing a 4 year commitment into something I wasn’t ever interested in.

Kick Push reenforced my instincts of counterculture’s beauty.

During the show…someone kept yelling H-Town..

Lupe acted annoyed at the interruption …

Lupe acted like someone showed up in Chicago screaming “Where Brooklyn at?”

Lupe Fiasco repped where he was standing like Columbus wasn’t 5 hour and 30 minute drive from Lupe’s city Chicago.

“We’re in Columbus..why are you yelling a different cities’ name.”

We all wanted Lupe performances of Hip Hop Saved My Life…but we respected that Lupe kept saying Columbus..

Lupe played another couple of joints..

Then after Samurai’s Mumble Rap…

Lupe rocked, Hip Hop Saved My Life.

Hip Hop Saved My Life is about a Houston rapper who finds personal meaning and hope after recording a Rap.

I thought about Hip Hop Saved My Life.

This song was unique because Lupe, an intelligent mc wasn’t dissing Southern rap as ruining Hip Hop.

Lupe understood Hip Hop importance in culture.

I realized Lupe’s “biggest” songs 2006’s Kick Push and 2007’s Hip Hop Saved My Life avoided internal divides.

Lupe appealed into the humanities.

I haven’t quite developed a solution for the cold civil war.

I know finding an audience inside of an individual is where Lupe earned rapport.

Once someone trusts you then…you conversate into cultural change.

This reminded me of Hip Hop’s social skills.

Lupe found my soft-spot with Kick Push.

Then Lupe found some DJ Skrew loving Texan’s soul with Hip Hop Saved My Life.

I realized the beauty of the midwest.

I loved skateboarding.

I loved DJ Skrew.

I love Hip Hop.

Lupe rocked Drill Music in Zion.

There was sequenced where Lupe went from Kick Push into rocking real hard Twista,  Wild Style took Adrenalin Rush with Drill.

Lupe looked like Cam’ron.

Lupe was in shape.

Lupe’s fade was on point.

I thought: Lupe’s speaking Midwest Bone Bone Bone…

People were throwing bows, and dancing like we were at Club Ice circa Papa Jack.

Lupe stepped back and Dead Prez’d the audience with Freedom Ain’t Free.

I was taking notes that Lupe was rhyming with breath control.

Lupe was using call and response.

While Lupe was rocking midwest hardstyles…

I wondered…

Can Lupe perform Gadget Flow live…

People were feeling Krunk…

Lupe chatted with the enthusiastic audience.

Lupe talked with Fiasco’s dejay….

DJ Smokey dropped the beat.

Lupe said…
“I’m from the best city in the whole wide world.”

Lupe paused..

Lupe yelled “Columbus!”

The dejay dropped the beat again..

‘I’m the best city in the whole wide world.’

Lupe rapped into the audience from a crouching position.

Lupe didn’t use recorded adlibs,..

Lupe’s deejay would say the lyric if Lupe stopped rapping for a second then Lupe would jump back in on beat.

I did every kind of inspection.

I looked at Lupe’s mouth. Lupe’s rapping.

I heard words.

I closed my eyes….

I watched his Deejay.

I’d determined this was one of the best live shows I’d seen.

Lupe landed everything and yelled..

“Columbus.”

Lupe talked with audience.

Lupe brought an artsy looking white girl on stage.

Lupe ballroom danced with this lady.

Within 2 minutes a really short white dude from the audience with a fitted was on stage with Lupe for Autoboto.

This white dude rapped with all the masculine aggression of a small macho man.

Lupe’s was around this short white man like they were lifelong friends.

I’m sure that little white man is still bragging..

Lupe Fiasco played Fundamentals which was Billy Blue song.

Billy Blue opened.

Billy Blue said he was Haitian at the beginning of Lupe’s set.

Billy Blue defended Haitians against haters.

Then Billy Blue rapped like Scarface in the manner Mobb Deep raps like Rakim.

Lupe’s other opener was Backwood Studio and critical acclaimed rapper Cavalier.

Cavalier’s braids and gear looked in place with Billy Blue and Lupe.

I watched Cavalier with Previous Industries earlier this year.

Cavalier is officially the flyest dressed rapper of 2024.

The second I contemplated Lupe Fiasco bumping Scarface and Raekwon…

“Touch the Sky” blared…

This was hearing a Dr. Dre song out of nowhere…

Lupe’s biggest verse references KMD, “Peach-fuzz buzz but beard on the verge”

Did I mention I love Hip Hop?

I caught a buzz and then…

I’m rapping along with Paris, Tokyo.

I started prancing in Chuck Taylor Converse.

I moved my feet so I could look at my shoes..

I walked into that room angry at everything…

2 hours later..

I’m dancing like I’m in a video.

Lupe rocked Mural out of audience request.

Next thing I know…We’re all singing like Bono.

Superstar..

“If you what you say you are..”

You can’t tell me nothing.

I’m rocking a piece.

I’m fucking an attractive naked lady.

I’m telling the white devils they white devils…

2025….let’s rock..

Lupe played his “Smells like Teen Spirit” Meets “Stake is High.”

Lupe played the best song of all time: Daydreaming..

We’re all floating like a melancholy above everything negative..

Daydreaming isn’t the best song ever recorded in all of music.

Daydreaming is the best song ever recorded in all of music.

Daydreaming isn’t the best song ever recorded in all of music.

Daydreaming is the best song ever recorded in all of music.

I feel like reading a book while complimenting someone and noshing vegan vittles. Daydreaming is where Kanye turned back into Mos Def.

Lupe Fiasco isn’t my favorite rapper.

Lupe Fiasco is my favorite rapper.

While I’m basking in DayDreamining.

I hear Modest Mouse’s “Float On.”

Lupes rapping his hit song, The Show Must Go On.

I’m listening to Lupe rap about the Gaza Strip over Modest Mouse.

I’m thinking about what Lupe did with his Kanye fame..

Lupe’s two attempts at hit crossover songs: The Show Must Go on, and Words I Never Said.

Lupe didn’t play “Words I Never Said.”

During “Words I Never Said:

Lupe rapped over a dubstep beat almost a decade preceding popular dub step.

Lupe dissed Isreal’s treatment of Palestinians.

Lupe’s condemns American government’s complicity in Isreal’s oppression of Palestinians.

Lupe dissed terrorists who kill people in response.

Lupe denounced the disadvantages inner-city people face…

Lupe didn’t play “Word’s I Never Said.”

Lupe played The Show Must Go On.

I’m thinking about Lupe’s visions.

Bush’s approval rating was 22 percent right before “Words I Never Said”  because of lying about the Gulf War.

“Words I Never Said’ as a single is a popular idea.

“The Show Goes On” released in 2010…

Lupe knew indie rock was popular and Israel oppression of people in Gaza was unlikable.

Lupe used the Kanye fame for success with “Kick Push” and “Hip Hop Saved My Live.”

Those other singles I love because for the strategy involved.

You wanna hit..

Ok… Fuck American’s Foreign Policy..

People hated George Bush….

I won’t speculate why Lupe didn’t play “Words I Never Said.”

I will say Lupe left the stage with me loving Daydreaming and really liking Lupe’s idea of a hit.

Lupe exited…

I thought…

Fiasco just ended his set with Modest Mouse and GAZA.

People roared…

Lupe returned for an encore…

Lupe talked with audience for second..

Lupe freestyles over “Never Forget You.”

Then Lupe rocked another Fiasco single…

“Dumb It Down.”

I wondered if we were supposed to yell, Dumb It Down as a call and response.

During this song…People chant bad advice at Lupe about making his music stupider..

Lupe said,

“You going over people’s heads lu.. “

Lupe stuck out the microphone..

We were supposed to yell, Dumb It Down.

We didn’t want Lupe to dumb it down..

But it made sense because dumb it down is the hook.

I’m once again saying to myself…

Lupe Fiasco is my favorite rapper.

I wasn’t saying….. Lupe Fiasco isn’t my favorite rapper.

For the sake of the amount of rappers I like..

Lupe Fiasco is my favorite rapper.

Lupe Fiasco isn’t my favorite rapper.

Right before playing Hip Hop Save My Life…

 Lupe quoted KRS-1…

“Krs-1 said this thing we  mix of knowledge and movement.

If you’ve got knowledge than ur Hip..

If you’ve got movement you Hop..

If you mix knowledge and movement ..

You have Hip Hop..”

Entire room yelled Hip Hop…

Lupe’s December 2024 performance found elite experience in the league of KRS-1, Mos Def and Roots shows.

3rd Bass – Gasface Revisited

After an 11-year hiatus, 3rd Bass made a triumphant return to the stage tonight at DJ Cassidy’s Pass the Mic Live! event, held at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The performance was part of WBLS Radio’s 50th-anniversary celebrations, where 3rd Bass performed their classic hit “The Gas Face.” This surprise reunion marked the 35th anniversary of their debut album, The Cactus Album, a release that redefined the hip-hop scene.

“I’m thrilled to be reunited with Pete and to be planning a 3rd Bass tour to celebrate the fans, the Bassheads, who have loyally supported our music over the last 35 years. Hip-hop has changed and evolved, but the passion and energy of our audience remains timeless. We can’t wait to relive those classic moments with the next generation,” said Serch. “Tonight was a full-circle moment for us to be on stage with DJ Cassidy, who got his start as an 11-year-old working in the studio I had set up in my attic in Queens, and now we’re on stadium stages together.”

“I have to credit my Van Silk for this Reunion with Serch tonight. For the past 15 years his two pet projects have been to get The Furious 5 and 3rd Bass reunited, he finally did it,” said Pete Nice. “Thanks to DJ Cassidy for making it possible for us to perform tonight along with our brothers Melle Mel and Scorpio, the men who literally created emceeing and the blueprint for Hip Hop, it is a great honor. I will have to work around my schedule as the curator at The Hip Hop Museum in the Bronx, but I look forward to the opportunity for our fans to see me, Serch and DJ Daddy Rich on stage performing together in the future.”

“As a young child aspiring to contribute to the culture of Hip-Hop, MC Serch and Pete Nice were not only idols, but personal mentors. Conducting their long awaited reunion during the Pass The Mic Live WBLS 50th Anniversary celebration was a serendipitous honor and a full circle moment,”
said DJ Cassidy.
