December 20, 2024 Review: Lupe Fiasco Columbus, Ohio Concert
Lupe Fiasco December 20, 2024

Lupe Fiasco’s Bustown’s show again reminded me of Hip Hop’s potential.
Lupe’s show started with Lupe rocking Number 1 Headband off Fiasco’s album 2024 album Samurai.
Number 1 Head Band starts with Lupe jazz humming into a chorus…“a little bit of bone bone bone” which conjured Ella Fitzgerald’s influence on FreeStyleFellowshipThugzNHarmony in the MiddleofBarnintoA$ap Rocky etc in 10 seconds and arrives at a Charli XCX Brat’s reference.

Columbus Atheneum was filled with people and positive energy.
Columbus Athenaeum … packed.
I sat in the seats….arenas and smart tv have changed my preferred concert settings.
I sometimes find the front of the audience.
Other times I sit down and enjoy the show.
I find concerts cerebral participation.
The importance of Lupe’s vibrance December 20, 2024.
Kamala Harris reminded me of Hip Hop’s potential.
Then after that election…
I felt a tremendous disappointment in the amount of liars and bigots.
I felt like Holden Caulfield reading books about Cointelpro.
I like rap.
I like punk.
I like women.
Lupe played Palaces off Samurai.
I knew the lyrics.
Everyone in the room knew the lyrics.
As of November 6, 2024, I don’t like people except everyone at the Lupe concert.
We were sent into a time before Obama….
I’d became a teenage skateboarder……
I’m writing books about a new Cointelpro which I’ve determined is also a psyops..
After that election…
I’m sitting in my living room.
I’m a teenager.
I want naked ladies, food and rap.
Friday night, I’m sitting in Columbus Athenaeum which makes every concert feel special.
I’m watching a room full of Hip Hoppers who are excited about Lupe Fiasco in 2024.
Lupe’s audience is predominantly young black people.
I’m watching Lupe’s delivering Hip Hop’s promise.
A dope mc transcends any context.
We’re all being reminded..
Hip Hop defeated white supremacy several times without quite as much people power.
Lupe’s song Samurai off his latest album’s Samurai receives a similar response.
People know Lupe’s new album line for line.
Lupe was once on Kanye’s 2004 Touch the Sky.
Lupe isn’t riding a platinum feature in 2024.
Everyone in that room knew Lupe’s new music.
Lupe then raps, Kick Push.
I’d forgotten Lupe released a song about skateboarding.
Lupe’s manages a discussion about relationships in the midst of individualistic passions.
I’m wondering if Virgil played Jesus Lizard for Ye, and Lupe.
Lupe’s audience is much younger than Virgil’s late 80’s skating..
Virgil’s importance was taking 80’s skating iconography into 2016 Hip Hop fashion.…
Regardless if you like Glenn Friedman, or Atiba Jefferson’s images of teenage rebellious creativity…

Lupe describes something every skaters’ experiences.
Police kick skaters out of skate spots..
Romance..
Passion…
Lupe’s music, and raps were clear, crisp while the simple melody and drums reminded everyone of liking something.
I’m really angry about people participating in lies, white supremacy and misogyny renewing a 4 year commitment into something I wasn’t ever interested in.
Kick Push reenforced my instincts of counterculture’s beauty.
During the show…someone kept yelling H-Town..
Lupe acted annoyed at the interruption …
Lupe acted like someone showed up in Chicago screaming “Where Brooklyn at?”
Lupe Fiasco repped where he was standing like Columbus wasn’t 5 hour and 30 minute drive from Lupe’s city Chicago.
“We’re in Columbus..why are you yelling a different cities’ name.”
We all wanted Lupe performances of Hip Hop Saved My Life…but we respected that Lupe kept saying Columbus..
Lupe played another couple of joints..
Then after Samurai’s Mumble Rap…
Lupe rocked, Hip Hop Saved My Life.
Hip Hop Saved My Life is about a Houston rapper who finds personal meaning and hope after recording a Rap.
I thought about Hip Hop Saved My Life.
This song was unique because Lupe, an intelligent mc wasn’t dissing Southern rap as ruining Hip Hop.
Lupe understood Hip Hop importance in culture.
I realized Lupe’s “biggest” songs 2006’s Kick Push and 2007’s Hip Hop Saved My Life avoided internal divides.
Lupe appealed into the humanities.
I haven’t quite developed a solution for the cold civil war.
I know finding an audience inside of an individual is where Lupe earned rapport.
Once someone trusts you then…you conversate into cultural change.
This reminded me of Hip Hop’s social skills.
Lupe found my soft-spot with Kick Push.
Then Lupe found some DJ Skrew loving Texan’s soul with Hip Hop Saved My Life.
I realized the beauty of the midwest.
I loved skateboarding.
I loved DJ Skrew.
I love Hip Hop.
Lupe rocked Drill Music in Zion.
There was sequenced where Lupe went from Kick Push into rocking real hard Twista, Wild Style took Adrenalin Rush with Drill.
Lupe looked like Cam’ron.
Lupe was in shape.
Lupe’s fade was on point.
I thought: Lupe’s speaking Midwest Bone Bone Bone…
People were throwing bows, and dancing like we were at Club Ice circa Papa Jack.
Lupe stepped back and Dead Prez’d the audience with Freedom Ain’t Free.
I was taking notes that Lupe was rhyming with breath control.
Lupe was using call and response.
While Lupe was rocking midwest hardstyles…
I wondered…
Can Lupe perform Gadget Flow live…
People were feeling Krunk…
Lupe chatted with the enthusiastic audience.
Lupe talked with Fiasco’s dejay….
DJ Smokey dropped the beat.
Lupe said…
“I’m from the best city in the whole wide world.”
Lupe paused..
Lupe yelled “Columbus!”
The dejay dropped the beat again..
‘I’m the best city in the whole wide world.’

Lupe rapped into the audience from a crouching position.

Lupe didn’t use recorded adlibs,..
Lupe’s deejay would say the lyric if Lupe stopped rapping for a second then Lupe would jump back in on beat.
I did every kind of inspection.
I looked at Lupe’s mouth. Lupe’s rapping.
I heard words.
I closed my eyes….
I watched his Deejay.
I’d determined this was one of the best live shows I’d seen.
Lupe landed everything and yelled..
“Columbus.”
Lupe talked with audience.
Lupe brought an artsy looking white girl on stage.
Lupe ballroom danced with this lady.
Within 2 minutes a really short white dude from the audience with a fitted was on stage with Lupe for Autoboto.
This white dude rapped with all the masculine aggression of a small macho man.
Lupe’s was around this short white man like they were lifelong friends.

I’m sure that little white man is still bragging..
Lupe Fiasco played Fundamentals which was Billy Blue song.
Billy Blue opened.
Billy Blue said he was Haitian at the beginning of Lupe’s set.
Billy Blue defended Haitians against haters.

Then Billy Blue rapped like Scarface in the manner Mobb Deep raps like Rakim.
Lupe’s other opener was Backwood Studio and critical acclaimed rapper Cavalier.
Cavalier’s braids and gear looked in place with Billy Blue and Lupe.

I watched Cavalier with Previous Industries earlier this year.
Cavalier is officially the flyest dressed rapper of 2024.
The second I contemplated Lupe Fiasco bumping Scarface and Raekwon…
“Touch the Sky” blared…
This was hearing a Dr. Dre song out of nowhere…
Lupe’s biggest verse references KMD, “Peach-fuzz buzz but beard on the verge”
Did I mention I love Hip Hop?
I caught a buzz and then…
I’m rapping along with Paris, Tokyo.
I started prancing in Chuck Taylor Converse.

I moved my feet so I could look at my shoes..
I walked into that room angry at everything…
2 hours later..
I’m dancing like I’m in a video.
Lupe rocked Mural out of audience request.
Next thing I know…We’re all singing like Bono.
Superstar..
“If you what you say you are..”
You can’t tell me nothing.
I’m rocking a piece.
I’m fucking an attractive naked lady.
I’m telling the white devils they white devils…
2025….let’s rock..
Lupe played his “Smells like Teen Spirit” Meets “Stake is High.”
Lupe played the best song of all time: Daydreaming..

We’re all floating like a melancholy above everything negative..
Daydreaming isn’t the best song ever recorded in all of music.
Daydreaming is the best song ever recorded in all of music.
Daydreaming isn’t the best song ever recorded in all of music.
Daydreaming is the best song ever recorded in all of music.
I feel like reading a book while complimenting someone and noshing vegan vittles. Daydreaming is where Kanye turned back into Mos Def.
Lupe Fiasco isn’t my favorite rapper.
Lupe Fiasco is my favorite rapper.
While I’m basking in DayDreamining.
I hear Modest Mouse’s “Float On.”
Lupes rapping his hit song, The Show Must Go On.
I’m listening to Lupe rap about the Gaza Strip over Modest Mouse.
I’m thinking about what Lupe did with his Kanye fame..
Lupe’s two attempts at hit crossover songs: The Show Must Go on, and Words I Never Said.
Lupe didn’t play “Words I Never Said.”
During “Words I Never Said:
Lupe rapped over a dubstep beat almost a decade preceding popular dub step.
Lupe dissed Isreal’s treatment of Palestinians.
Lupe’s condemns American government’s complicity in Isreal’s oppression of Palestinians.
Lupe dissed terrorists who kill people in response.
Lupe denounced the disadvantages inner-city people face…
Lupe didn’t play “Word’s I Never Said.”
Lupe played The Show Must Go On.
I’m thinking about Lupe’s visions.
Bush’s approval rating was 22 percent right before “Words I Never Said” because of lying about the Gulf War.
“Words I Never Said’ as a single is a popular idea.
“The Show Goes On” released in 2010…
Lupe knew indie rock was popular and Israel oppression of people in Gaza was unlikable.
Lupe used the Kanye fame for success with “Kick Push” and “Hip Hop Saved My Live.”
Those other singles I love because for the strategy involved.
You wanna hit..
Ok… Fuck American’s Foreign Policy..
People hated George Bush….
I won’t speculate why Lupe didn’t play “Words I Never Said.”
I will say Lupe left the stage with me loving Daydreaming and really liking Lupe’s idea of a hit.
Lupe exited…
I thought…
Fiasco just ended his set with Modest Mouse and GAZA.
People roared…
Lupe returned for an encore…
Lupe talked with audience for second..
Lupe freestyles over “Never Forget You.”
Then Lupe rocked another Fiasco single…
“Dumb It Down.”
I wondered if we were supposed to yell, Dumb It Down as a call and response.
During this song…People chant bad advice at Lupe about making his music stupider..
Lupe said,
“You going over people’s heads lu.. “
Lupe stuck out the microphone..
We were supposed to yell, Dumb It Down.
We didn’t want Lupe to dumb it down..
But it made sense because dumb it down is the hook.
I’m once again saying to myself…
Lupe Fiasco is my favorite rapper.
I wasn’t saying….. Lupe Fiasco isn’t my favorite rapper.
For the sake of the amount of rappers I like..
Lupe Fiasco is my favorite rapper.
Lupe Fiasco isn’t my favorite rapper.
Right before playing Hip Hop Save My Life…
Lupe quoted KRS-1…
“Krs-1 said this thing we mix of knowledge and movement.
If you’ve got knowledge than ur Hip..
If you’ve got movement you Hop..
If you mix knowledge and movement ..
You have Hip Hop..”
Entire room yelled Hip Hop…

Lupe’s December 2024 performance found elite experience in the league of KRS-1, Mos Def and Roots shows.

Charli XCX Columbus, Ohio Concert Review 9-20-2024
Bus Stile Adventures :
Charli XCX Brat Sweat ANON 9-20-2024
By Wes Flexner aka anon anon anon anon.
Charli XCX walked out into the stage wearing a wedding veil.
The wedding attire conjured Madonna’s “Like A Virgin” for a second.
Queen Brat then said, ‘Columbus, Ohio. Will You Marry Me.’
During the evening, Charli kept an intimate dialogue during stage banter as if every individual in the packed arena were Charli’s kindred spirit who understood with an deepest emotional connection.
Charli XCX rotated sets with Australian pop singer Troy Sitivan.
Charli took the stage with Brit wavve rapper-singer ShyGirl….
Charli intertwined a marriage proposal for our city while performing 365’s Remix.
One of my hobbies before Saturdays’ show was finding Chali XCX rap songs.
Everyone I knew cracked up that Charli XCX recorded with Ed Banger’s Uffie…
Uffie, and Balam ACAB’s involvement with Charli XCX sorta changed a perception…
Should …Charli XCX a Taylor Swift/ Britney Spears star or….someone who didn’t quit once Daft Punk and Justice fans couldn’t use Kanye West as their pop sensation.
Ed Banger Records might be Kanye’s political stances biggest casualties.
I don’t know if UFFIE is making a comeback..
She can’t sing like Charlie XCX…Well Uffie did feature with a famous singer.
Pop superstars sing. This isn’t about bringing Uffie down.
Our intent is lyfting Charlie XCX up.
Nationwide Arena was packed with BRATS.
Are Charli XCX fans BRATS or is BRAT the name of the movement.
Although, Charli XCX is a star….
She didn’t seem too big for reality…
Charli XCX traded bars with Shy Girl who opened…
ShyGirl combines London club beats with an American southern rap brashness.
ShyGirl early performed THICC, Nike, Freak and other songs as the Sweat opener.
Shygirl was like if Denzel Curry and Mike Will Made it listened to Oasis as a young lass.
ShyGirl provided Nationwide Arena with an edge where you didn’t feel like you eventually were being subjected into boring EDM, and generic pop music.
Shygirl allowed Troy Sitivan’s Twink Bieber a clubber feel….
After Charlie XCX proposed and rapped in underwear and veil…
BRATS responded with screaming, roars and dancing.
Shygirl set the vibe…
Charlie XCX rapping was Lady Sovereign, and Dizzy Rascal.
Pussy Riot’s rapping worked because of Russian accents..
I think the solution for white women rappers: Slick Rick.
White women should study Slick Rick, Monie Love and Dana Dane’s British debonair.
Charli’s parents:
Charli’s mom: Ugandan Indian Muslim
Charli’s father: Scotland
Indians are 1 percent of the Ugandan population. I don’t know Charli’s opinion on Idi Amin.
I know finding Slick Rick influence would nurture white women rappers’ story telling, and smug confidence. Charli’s bi-racial. I don’t know Charli’s familiarity with late 80’s NYC rap.
Slick Rick is one of the most influential rappers…
White women can work within the late 80’s aesthetics of Paid In Full rap.
The late 80’s foundation for Nas and Jay-Z caliber rappers are found in the following rappers:
Kool G Rap: Rhyme patterns and Street Tales…
Rakim- Technical ability, vocal clarity while rapping about street, and metaphysical ideas of existence….
KRS- One – Rap confidence that’s street, and conscious….
Big Daddy Kane – Technical, Conscious, arrogant, and a Drake sex symbol. BDK took sexual photos with Madonna….
LL Cool J – Technical, Brash, and a sex symbol.
Public Enemy – Conscious with authority.
Slick Rick – Rapped with an English accent, Arrogant and detailed story telling….
Slick Rick’s style seems like the most accessible for white women’s voices. If I was white women rapping I would look at Slick Rick, and Monie Love. Monie Love’s English voice works organically with Monie’s English sounds.
Slick Rick’s opus, The Great Adventure of Slick Rick does contain misogyny which assisted in NWA and 2 Live’s audience. I’m sure women could figure out ignorant songs dissing men after developing their craft. Charli XCX’s rapping sounding like Kano solved a most stifling subplot.
…..Did I mention MC Lyte’s “Lyte As A Rock?”
“10 Percent Diss,” and “Paper Thin” are as hard as Audio 2 Two’s “Top Billin” with added technical and sophisticated lyricism. I said Slick Rick because emulating him might make a natural Monie Love/MC Lyte delivery.
I’m a need a Skepta/Charli XCX joint.
Charli finished the first segment with 360 and Van Dutch.
Charli XCX switched from the marriage sweetness into an arrogance……
“COLUMBUS, Don’t Play With Me Bitch.”
The Queen commanded respect.
Troy twinked for 3 more songs which avoided aversions of techno music.
I’m in a queer club.
Ce La Vie.
Charli XCX returned for Club Classics, Unlock it, Sympathy and Guess.
Troy gave Charli a short break with Bloom..
British Brat returned with SpringBreakers.
I didn’t know Harmony Korine’s movie starring Gucci Mane would rock an arena in 2024.
I laughed while Charli sung about killing people and DUIs…
We returned into teen superstar singer mode with “It’s confusing being a Girl.’
I’m contemplating this in a Sevigny context.
Troy twinked again.
Pretty girls know twinks.
I respected Sweat’s premise.
I’m at the Union chatting with women and their gay friends.
Charli returned for Everything Is Romantic, Speed Drive, and Apple.
Troy twinked and supported Charli.
She made another costume change and reappearred for 365, and VROOM.
Troy and Charli rocked 1999.
The show climaxed into frenzy
I realized my lack of familiarity with Charli XCX’s catalog allowed an appreciation of
The British Brat’s performance and nuances.
I heard Dizzy Rascal, stadium EDM, gay club music, and pop superstar in an unique package.
She switched from the marriage banter from foul mouthed Brat boasting and back….
‘Columbus. You’re adorable.
Columbus. I’m in love with you…
I’m so excited I’m marrying you.’
While I was thinking about liking this woman who combined Springbreakers with Skepta…
Charlie floored me…
I didn’t know 2012 Icona Pop’s, “I Love It” was Charlie XCX.
It’s kinda like meeting a new person and then finding out one of biggest songs in a decade was by them…
“I DON’T CARE.”
I had instant Obama nostalgia because of “I Love It” after Spring Breakers.
I felt elation about a remembering life pre-Trump.
People were fun and cool..
Obama liked rap, and rock music…I liked that Obama didn’t techno.
Techno was tolerable because it wasn’t the rule of the land.
You found pretty girls, and kind queers. If you heard techno…Ce La Vie.
I realize the importance of Kamala Harris being proclaimed BRAT.
Life was fun in the Obama years.
President Hipster made everyone receptive of differences.
I don’t know if I’ve ever felt so excited about a pop song from 2012.
I felt an optimism because a woman was yelling, “I DON’T CARE.”
Harmony Korine and then Kamala Harris….
Harmony Korine and then Kamala Harris.
Harmony Korine and then Kamala Harris.
Harmony Korine and then Kamala Harris.
Harmony Korine and then Kamala Harris.
Harmony Korine and then Kamala Harris.
I’m that Harmony Korine and then Kamala Harris wavve….
Harmony Korine and then Kamala Harris wavve….
I realized why I was invited from my radio shows.
while those words aren’t anything.
look at these words:
I’m that Harmony Korine and Kamala Harris wavve….
Charli XCX’s proposal seemed sincere. We’ve all lived in a proximity…..
After the Sweat concert, I debated between walking into OG Betty’s or riding the bus.
I decided I didn’t feel like paying for a Lyft.
I could find a pub near my flat.
I stood at Nationwide Plaza’s COTA stop with a bunch of BRATS.
I sat down in the back of the COTA.
I almost flicked the Brat Bus..
Except..
BRATS are now sagging with their asses out…
College age women gleaned the importance of their underwear from Charli XCX’s song with Billie Ellish…
I didn’t snap a picture because I wore an ODB Shirt with a Playboy Kangol.
I didn’t wanna creep out women who were fun.
I didn’t know these women..
I didn’t wanna feel intrusive of their evening.
People talked about the show.
Everyone was wearing merch.
In every angle…women whose underwear was exposed because of sagging.
One Brat culture trait is wearing a tank top without a bra.
Most of the Brats don’t sag.
I spent a month ignoring BRATS with erect nipples.
I didn’t ignore Brats.
I just didn’t acknowledge their nipples were erect.
I made normal small conversation.
BRAT merch doesn’t expose erect nipples.
I didn’t know women sagging in a thong or lace underwear was BRAT.
I’d worn an Old Dirty Bastard shirt with a Playboy Kangol as a private joke.
Would you consider Olde Dirty Bastard BRAT?
I knew Charlie’s Brats were women.
I now was surrounded by BRATS who were talking while a couple of BRATS chilled in their underwear.
The BRATS discussed which stop was theirs…
I glanced out the window while wondering if I should offer bus directions.
One of the BRATS saw my ODB shirt.
During BSA Hip Hop, Thursdays at 7pm, I played an OBD Freestyle with RZA…
The Freestyle is from Bobbito Stretch Armstrong….
RZA builds in Nation of Gods + Earth Vernacular.
ODB sings Screaming Jay Hawkins style, “IF YOU WANNA CUM. MAKE ME CUM..IF YOU WANNA CUM.…”
OBD screams about cumming while RZA chimes in with NGE conversaton.
I bought my ODB shirt from Okayplayer after the WU, Nas and De La Soul rocked Schottenstein Center.
I recieve compliments everytime I wear my Old Dirty Bastard shirt.
I forget I’m wearing an ODB shirt.
I blush everytime someone mentions my shirt.
I forget my shirt says, Olde Dirty Bastard.
People love Olde Dirty Bastard.
I wore the shirt with a Playboy Kangol into Charlie XCX out of personal amusement.
BRATS sagging pants already made me wanna hide my Playboy Kangol.
The BRAT who saw the ODB shirt wasn’t sagging with panties exposed.
She was making normal conversation while riding COTA…
Then in a British accent she would add, “I WANNA CUM.”
I assumed she was responding toward an invitation from a friends for a party.…
Until she kept repeating…”I WANNA CUM. I WANNA CUM.”
I looked at my ODB shirt…
I registered the fact other women were sagging with undies in display…
A disadvantage of wearing an ODB shirt with a Playboy Kangol…
I didn’t say anything because of the statement my clothes made…
Pro-tip: if you wanna cum.…Request my name …we shall chat and exchange phone numbers.
Our bus reached a Campus stop.
The BRATS exited the bus near Woodruff.
I contemplated the future.
